LIFE prayer on October 20

I want to invite everyone to a state-wide prayer meeting on October 20. The prayer meeting will be from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. You are welcome to come an go as you can. We will be meeting at IHOP-IOWA which is located at 2719 Douglas Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310. Heartland House of Prayer from Council Bluffs will be leading the event. Many come from around the state to join us as they can. Iowa has already had 4 Planned Parenthood facilities close this year. We meet every month on the 3rd Saturday. Where was Amy?

OK, so apparently there was some confusion over where I was leading worship last Friday night. I'm so sorry about that!

There are 2 houses of prayer that I have been volunteering at. First is KHOP, Kingdom House of Prayer in Ankeny. The second is IHOP-IA, International House of Prayer Iowa. IHOP-IA is not affiliated with the IHOP in Kansas City. It is modeled after it, but is separate. You can check out their website at www.ihop-iowa.org. I lead a prayer set at IHOP-IA on monday nights from 6 to 8. I will also be leading their Friday night worship team for at least the next few weeks. So, if you ever want to join me in prayer, here's my usual schedule:

Monday night 6 to 8 pm at IHOP-IA. Click here for directions.

Tuesday night 6 to 8:30 pm at KHOP. Click here for directions. We have prophecy and healing rooms open every Tuesday night in addition to the prayer room being open. We will also be open on Saturday April 14 from 9 am to noon for prophecy and healing. If none of these times work for you, I can arrange to meet you another time. Just send me a message.

Friday night - worship starts at 7 pm at IHOP-IA. This is an Encountering God Service (EGS). I will be leading worship and Justin Callies, director at IHOP-IA will be sharing the Word.

I have one quick testimony to share. I was prophesying with some friends over a gentleman at Heartland on Saturday night. We started praying over him, and he was holding his hands out before the Lord. I reached out and touched his hand, and I can't describe it any better than electricity. It felt like a jolt of electricity zapped both of us when I touched his hand. He went flying to the floor laughing and so did I. NOW THAT WAS FUN!!!

Praise God for all that He's doing!!!

KHOP Healing and Prophecy Saturday

KHOP hosted their prophecy and healing rooms this last weekend. We had three teams ministering and every single appointment was filled. We had a few walk-ins that we squeezed in, even though we were already full. We had so many amazing testimonies come out of that morning. God showed up in a powerful way. He always does, but it never ceases to amaze me. His love is so real, so tangible. He is so close and I love the nearness of His presence. If you are interested in being ministered to in the KHOP prophecy rooms, send me a note. We are open every Tuesday night from 6 to 8 pm and the second Saturday of every month. The next Saturday is April 14 from 9 am to Noon.

These words spoke directly to my heart and what I have been longing to hear from God.

The words I received were powerful and inspiring. They provide me with a sense of comfort, renewal, and strength.

So uplifting, encouraging, and so right on! God bless your ministry as you give to others encouragement, hope, love.

These were words I have been given quite a bit for weeks. Today they were all added together and delivered. Praise be to God!!

Am so blown away. It was amazing.

I got to speak with a friend who came in to receive a prophetic word later in the day on Saturday afternoon. He told me his head was still spinning and wanted to know how we knew all that stuff about him. I told him we didn't know until the Holy Spirit revealed it to us... God knows us so intimately.

2 Corinthians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.

PRAISE THE NAME OF THE LORD! He is faithful!

Exploding!

Before I went up to Cedar Rapids, I was chatting with a few friends about what I was going to do after my time there. I didn't have any idea what would happen. All I knew was the God had told me to keep my calendar clear and that He would put on there what he wanted. One person told me something like this: Well, you may come back to Ankeny... OR you may stay in Cedar Rapids... OR the things that God has been calling you to do may just explode and you may be all over the place. and then he says, oh yea. I think it's the third option!

Well he was right :) Things have been exploding for me! I have been asked to lead worship for a women's event this next weekend at a ministry that meets in downtown Des Moines. Next weekend, I'll be leading worship for a Friday night service at IHOP-Iowa. Derek Steen will be a guest speaker that night. Derek oversees the Prophetic ministry at the Wind and Fire prayer center in Cedar Rapids. It's going to be a power packed night!

And then I was asked to come out to a house of prayer in San Diego. We are still working out details of all that I am going to do while I am there. I'll fill you in on more details once they are figured out, but I am excited!!! Let's just say, this is huge for me!

Praise God! WOOHOO!

Thoughts & testimonies

Believe it or not, it's actually pretty difficult for me to get my thoughts typed out in a fashion that is easy for someone else to read. Blogging is not something that comes easy for me. I start to type something out and then realize that no one who reads it is going to have any idea what I'm talking about. I'll have one sentence that makes sense and then 3 random thoughts and then another sentence about the original thought but I should have told you that part first. And so, I find myself typing out what's on my mind and then after rereading, deleting everything I just typed because it's so all over the place.

I really wish it was super easy for me to put my thoughts together for you to share in what the Lord is doing in my life right now. I know that I need to continue to blog, and am praying that God makes it easier for me!

God is doing some really amazing things in my life and in the lives of those around me. It's hard to tell you without telling really long stories, but I'll try and sum up some fun testimonies from this last week.

One friend last week felt really let down by the Lord in a certain situation. I asked him how he would feel if he tweeted his view of the outcome. Instead of looking at it as a let-down, I told him he should praise and thank God that He made it clear that that door needed to be closed and that He was going to make it clear what door He wanted open instead. It was like a light bulb came on, and he immediately viewed the situation as God protecting him and the plan for his life instead of God letting Him down. He heart was instantly healed as he started to see the situation through the eyes of love.

Another situation involved some prayer, and I felt freedom come over this person as certain negative spiritual attachments left! AMEN!!

I lead a prayer & worship set on Thursday nights. Several people on my set are really new to the house of prayer style of worship and prayer. I could say this about more than one of the new people, but there was a nervousness about stepping out to be a part of this set. Our prayer time last Thursday was great. We hit this sweet groove and I started prophesying through song, and I could the atmosphere shifting. My team talked after our prayer time was over, and I was so blessed as they were all excited to do it again. Even so much so, that Saturday night, we added another prayer set. This person wouldn't even play an instrument in front of me a month ago. This is such a testimony!

The Lord is moving so quickly, putting people in their 'spots'. This is SOOOOOO exciting for me!!!! I am leading a prayer & worship time on Tuesdays from noon to 2 and Thursdays from 6 to 8 pm. I am loving every minute of my time in the prayer room! There are several times a week when we get together for practice too.

I could probably keep going, but I personally don't like to read really long blogs. So, I'll stop here and share more next time. I'll be back in Ankeny for the Operation Refuge conference this upcoming Friday and Saturday at Heartland Assembly.

My heart

Today is another snowy day in Iowa. On my way to the prayer center this morning, I was wondering if anyone from my team was going to make it in. The road conditions were not good and the snow was blowing pretty hard.

For all my friends who live in warmer places, this may seem like a strange scene to you. But snow covered roads are a normal part of winter life in Iowa. As I was praying about what to pour out today during our prayer time, I remembered this scripture:

My beloved spoke and said to me, Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me. See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. (Song of Songs 2: 10-11)

So, as I was praying, I just started praying about the snow that was covering the land here and started declaring the season of singing would come instead. I started declaring that the season of snow would be gone and that a new season would come. I had a vision of people dancing in the streets, worshiping the Lord with new songs and dancing with flags. I saw a new culture coming forth from the streets as people were unashamed to tell of the mercies of the Lord.

I am declaring that and releasing that over our land! I hear laughter in place of sadness. I see hearts being restored as the love of families gets poured out. This is such a season of restoration. I am loving it.

I am literally seeing lives transformed before my very eyes. It moves my heart. The Lord is doing a new thing in me and all around me. Praise the Lord. I will sing to Him a new song.

Worshiping in the park

Today was a fun day. Justin, Elizabeth, and I did a prayer set again today. We really felt the sweetness of His presence as we worshiped the Lord and prayed over Cedar Rapids.

After it was over, we all decided that it would be a great idea to go prayer walking in downtown Cedar Rapids. Another friend joined us too. So, we prayed and walked and danced and sang over downtown. As we were walking, we stopped at Green Square Park to pray over the park. Justin had brought along his flags and danced right in the middle of the park. Well, actually, he had been dancing all the way down the sidewalk too. He just had more room in the park to let loose. Check this quick video out.



There was a large group of children playing on one side of the park. A building was being demolished in the back ground. A man was sitting at a park bench mulling over some papers. And many others walked and drove by the park as we were there praying. We felt led to walk all the way around the park and pray at each of the four corners of the park. So we walked and prayed around the entire park. We broke out into worship and sang praises to the Lord.

Habakkuk 2:14 says: For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. We declared that the knowledge of the glory of the Lord would cover Cedar Rapids as the waters cover the sea.

I can't wait to go out dancing and praying again! Let your glory fall here in Cedar Rapids Lord!

KHOP and Heartland Training

If you are a part of KHOP or Heartland, we have a training this Saturday, January 14 from 9:30 to 12:30 at Heartland Assembly of God. The training is the ministry team training for Heartland Assembly and KHOP healing and prophetic teams. (KHOP is the Kingdom House of Prayer).

It will include an hour with Pastor Dave Olson about the necessity of prophetic ministry, and avoiding the pitfalls. Pastor Christopher Olson will follow up with two hours on hearing from God, personal ministry, releasing anointing and the practical aspects of ministry.

There will also be a time for interaction, questions, etc.

This is required training for anyone involved in KHOP (or Heartland) ministry teams. But it is open to anyone interested, and I believe will be beneficial even to those involved in prophetic and healing ministries in other churches. If you are interested in attending the training, send me an email!!

Physical healings and stepping into new things!

The 5 nights of gatherings last week were amazing and awesome and you missed it if you weren't here. Tuesday night was the night of spontaneous dancing. The whole front of the alter was crowded with people worshiping the Lord through dance and a prophetic song being sung. The sweet presence of the Lord was filling my heart to over flowing. I felt this determination rising up within me to press into Him for more.

I led a prayer set 4 afternoons last week, Monday through Thursday, and was at the gatherings every night. I didn't have much time to blog like I thought I would. After so much time in the presence of the Lord, I feel His closeness. It feels so good to have Him sooo close.

On Sunday mornings, Wind and Fire has an intensive time of equipping called Blacksmith. Well this Sunday morning, we took some time to share testimonies from the previous week of gatherings. There were several physical and emotional healings!! A woman who was severely crippled with arthritis was healed. Her wrist had been completely frozen up and unmovable and God totally healed it in an instant! Another woman shared her testimony of how he healed her back. There was also a young man who really needed some love and acceptance, and he felt love and acceptance for the first time. God really started healing his heart. It was so beautiful. Many others shared how God was transforming their view of Cedar Rapids and reaching out to those around them.

After the week of gatherings was over, I admit I needed some rest! I spend most of the weekend composing some new music. I am really loving all the time that I am getting in front of an instrument in the presence of the Lord.

The Lord is surrounding me with an awesome worship team. The woman who oversees the prayer room schedule was quite shocked to see that I had almost a full team on my second day already. Thank you Lord for your perfect timing! We are starting to really flow in the Spirit and a real unity is developing quickly.

Two people on this team are fairly new to singing and praying from a mic. I love to see people stepping out into the things the Lord has for them. It so moves my heart. The Lord's goodness and kindness and mercies are never ending. If you haven't stepped out into what He wants you to do, maybe it's time to do it. :)

Prayer and 5 Nights of Gatherings

I had my first prayer set yesterday. I asked my new friend Elizabeth if she would come sing with me. She agreed. She was a bit timid at first, but by the end, was ready to do another one. There were tears of healing and tears of joy as we prayed, read scripture, and worshiped the Lord together. As we left yesterday, she was eager to join me again today.

Our prayer time today was intense, and the 2 hours went by SO fast! I was grateful to have a drummer and prayer leader join Elizabeth and I today. When I stopped playing, Elizabeth said, Is it 2 already?? She sang with such boldness and confidence today! We reluctantly stopped, but then we had a time of fellowship. Someone had brought a huge crock pot of soup to the prayer center. So, we ate together and shared our testimonies, and of course, we couldn't help but pray some more.

Right now, I'm sitting in the prayer center, soaking in the presence of the Lord waiting for 7:15 to get here. The Prayer Center is hosting 5 consecutive nights of gatherings this week. We had the first gathering last night. Let's just say that the Holy Spirit showed up in a powerful way. We started at 7:15, and I had a hard time leaving at midnight.

A gentleman named Roger Pope spoke about how the Lord told him to move to Waterloo, Iowa from Florida. He shared testimony after testimony of how the Lord has opened doors for him in Iowa. I was so encouraged and inspired. I also received 2 prophetic words. Thanks Lord!!

God is shaking the state of Iowa through worship, intercession, and a coming together in the body of Christ. Lord, release the revelation of unity in the body of Christ throughout our state. Shake this nation with these gatherings.

I'm looking forward to tonight. I'll try to post again tomorrow about tonight's gathering.

My New Years experience

I had the privilege of bringing in the New Year with some amazing friends at the Wind and Fire Prayer Center. It was such a beautiful night with my new, beautiful, and amazing family. Hugs went all around as we celebrated the coming of the new year. Of course, we prayed, worshiped, danced, and ate together. You know, all the fun stuff families do together.

One of the families here at the prayer center, had all their kids put together a dance. The atmosphere changed as they released their worship to the Lord. You may actually have to go to my blog to view the video if it's not included in the email.



They received 2 offerings. The first offering was for a debt elimination. If you were in need of paying off a small debt, you could apply to receive help.

The second offering was for the poor. Many people had brought items knowing that they would give them to the poor and that was amazing to see how much will be given away. But what was really amazing was how the Spirit of the Lord prompted people to give even more. Some people were taking their shoes off and leaving in their socks. I was moved to tears as a good friend gave a very special ring.

After the offering a young boy came up to the mic. The Lord showed him that the items that had been donated and set on the alter were really silver, gold, and bronze. It was a powerful moment as we all realized the weightiness in the power of the offering.


Sunday was amazing too. I met with a friend, and we jammed for a while preparing for a worship set that I am putting together. Then I met up with some other friends at Starbucks. I had my guitar with me, and I couldn't leave it in the car in the cold. So, I just brought it in with me into Starbucks. I couldn't resist... I pulled it out and worshiped right in the middle of Starbucks. And of course, we all prayed together.

Praise the Lord. His mercies are new every morning.

Perfect peace

Perfect Peace. That's what I have right now. I'm not saying that everything is perfect in my life. I'm not saying that I am not wondering what's coming my way. But I am saying that I am in right place, at the right time, in right relationship with God, and I have peace in my heart. I am so grateful the Lord leads me and guides me. He is teaching me along this journey called life and I am always learning. He is perfecting me with His peace.

As for what's new in my life, I am taking a season just to seek the Lord, pray, and spend time in the Word. I'm also purposefully gleaning from Wind and Fire. This is a house of prayer in Marion Iowa. If you want to know more about this ministry, check out their website at www.windandfire.org.

Update

Many of you have been asking me what's going on in my life lately... and so, this is the quickest way for me to update you all at once!

God is SO amazing the way He works... I just don't understand how He does it! I guess that's why He's God and I'm not. I like it that way!

One amazing God story is that I quit my job on March 31 so that I could take the job with KHOP at the beginning of May. Well, as it works out, I didn't wind up doing that. Well, how is that an amazing God story you ask? It totally is! There have been many things that have come up in my life and in my family's lives that I would not have been able to do if I had been working. AND if I had not thought that I was going to get the job with KHOP, then I never would have quit my job at the end of March. So, there really was no other way for the Lord to have me quit other than to have me think I was going in the direction of KHOP.

This has been a season of growing in faith for me for sure! I surely just needed a rest and am so grateful that I have had so much time to just live life and not be tied down to a regular job.

So, what am I doing since I am not working at KHOP? Well, I have been working a little for a friend writing a business plan. WOW, that is some awesome experience. Writing a business plan takes a lot of work and I am learning SO much. The rest of my time has gone to packing. YES, I know... I know... I know... You would think I would be tired of moving by now. Maybe one of these times I will realize how much work it is and stay somewhere longer than 6 months. I am back at my sisters for now, but not for long.

I am going out east to visit some family in august and then I will be off to California for a 2 month training course starting September 11.

I will not continue to blog after this but will be sending out email updates instead. This probably won't affect many of you. The only difference is that you won't be able to go to my blog to see my updates anymore. Announcement

Wow... I know I said that it wouldn't be six weeks before I blogged again, but somehow time has gotten away from me! There have been so many things happening in my life since I got home from Zimbabwe but was waiting for the Lord to work things out. I didn't want to keep you all in suspense with the 'what if's' until I knew for sure where the direction of the Lord would take me.

Many of you have asked me to keep blogging and for updates. So, here is my big news:

I have accepted a new position with the Kingdom House of Prayer as the Assistant Director. Before I left for Zimbabwe last year, I was staff at KHOP and loved every minute of it. I am very excited about getting back to KHOP full time as this is clear direction from the Lord.

Introducing our new KHOP Assistant Director - Amy Waldron

I am pleased to announce our new KHOP Assistant Director Miss Amy Waldron effective May 1, 2011. Amy is an anointed worship leader, musician and powerful intercessor. She is a former missionary to KHOP and brings strong administrative gifts to this new role where she will be handling the day to day operations of the house. We will be sharing much more about the details of her role in the days to come. Praise God for Amy and for what she will bring to KHOP to expand the scope and intensity of the prayer room as she works to stoke the fires of worship and intercession.

As for me, I will remain the Executive Director and Founder of KHOP committed to the establishing of the house and KHOP San Diego while focusing my energy on the three clear assignments God is impressing upon me. First, the assignment to our government as the Iowa Legislative Chaplain. Second, the assignment of equipping through my role with Heartland and HSSM. And finally, the itinerate ministry to churches, businesses and ministries as I am sent out from the house. I feel like I am becoming the answer to the prayers of the last six years as the Lord is so clearly laying these assignments upon me.

Back in the States

My Dearest Blog Family,

I pray that you have had a great Christmas season with your loved ones. I pray that it was full of the joy of the birth of our Saviour! (and good food too!)

I know I have not blogged in almost 2 months, but I have wanted to many times. I took some time off as I was in transition from Zimbabwe to the United States. I am back in the US now. I flew back right before Thanksgiving. I was able to spend some time with my family in Connecticut and spend Thanksgiving with them. I have to say that the first few days back in the US were very difficult... OK, maybe the first few weeks... and difficult is an understatement. I was completely overwhelmed.

There's this thing called reverse culture shock. I had never heard of it before, but I discovered very quickly that I had it. I missed everything about Zimbabwe... and couldn't stand anything about the US. I just wanted home, which had become Zimbabwe. I had fallen so in love with Zim and my friends and co-workers and the language and the Shona culture. No one here spoke Shona. No one understood my newly learned Shona words, my new way of saying thank you, or understood why I had twisted my hair.

I'm sure many of you are wondering why I left Zim when I was so in love with it there... There was only one reason to come home: There's just no saying no to the Lord in my heart. I knew He wanted me to come home and I knew why. I can't tell you that yet... maybe someday, but not yet... But the Word does say that obedience is better than sacrifice, right?

So, even though my heart was greatly grieved, I came home knowing that I could trust the Lord with my beloved Zimbabwe and the dreams He has given me of Africa. Once the first few weeks of life back in the COLD winter weather became normal, I began again to feel the warmth of the love of my family and my beloved friends. And my heart started to heal.

I am so blessed to have an amazing network of loved ones here. Thank the Lord for all of you who have been praying for me. My heart is so full of the joy of the Lord at being home and full of the peace of His perfect will being established in my life. Through these great trials in our lives comes new levels of faith and trust in our Lord. He is SO SO SO faithful!!!

So, if you are facing something that you don't understand, just keep at the forefront of your mind that the Lord knows what you do and do not need. He will guard you and keep you and fill you will his wisdom and strength.

I have many more stories about Zimbabwe that I want to share. I want to tell you about some of the people that I grew to love and call my family there. I have lots of pictures to share. I have dreams of returning there again some day. May the perfect will of the Lord continue to be done in my life. I will keep posting and blogging about my experiences in Zimbabwe and what's going on in my life right now.

OK... There is one amazing story about my friend Shelly that I want to tell you but not right now... oh my beloved Shelly... I miss her SO much! I'll have to save my story about her for later. hehe... oh the suspense of waiting for the good stuff!!

This is Shelly. She was scrubbing my veranda for me. She has that look on her face of "Do you have to take my picture right this second???".... But she would always just laugh at me and smile when I took her picture.

Don't worry... it won't be 2 months before I blog again. It will be much sooner than that.

Spider Hunt

While working late in our Africa office one evening and being bored with conference calls nonetheless, we decided to go on a spider hunt. I had just bought my boss a present and just in time too: a bag of rubber bands for his killing sprees... You see, the rubber bands are the weapon and the spiders are the target. The bossman has been practicing and his aim has been improving. However, on this fateful night, we came across the hairy spider of death.......

Would you eat this???

So, our chef walks in yesterday and throws this warm, little bag at me. According to him, you are supposed to eat these things... He said they were expensive to buy even... Several of my co-workers ate them like they were candy, holding them in their hand as if they were eating a peanut butter m&m.

So, really, would you have eaten one of these things???? You can call me a chicken. I wouldn't do it :)

Outreach

I went out last weekend to my friend Annah's house. We spent most of the day on Saturday preparing for an outreach that was planned for Saturday night. She is the head of the dance team. As I took the final turn to Annah's house, some of the girls from the dance team saw me and came running to meet me. And I mean, running... They literally ran full speed ahead and jumped on me. Good thing I am used to my nieces and nephews jumping on me. It was so encouraging to see them all again.

This is at the end of like a 4 hour practice... time to rest! It was hot out!



And then she asked me if I wanted African gum... It was sweet and tasted nothing like gum, but when you're in Africa, this is gum. The kids lined up at the door wanting it...




This 'gum' grows on a tree in her front yard.



And then we went out door to door inviting people to the outreach. I was definitely the one white person anywhere around. News of a murungu was going through the streets as we walked. By the time I got from one end of the street to the other, people were calling me by name and calling me over to their homes. We got to pray for a young man with TB... I continue to pray the Lord completely heals his body! There was a soccer game going on when we first arrived.



These young men at the edge of the soccer field wanted me to come over to them... It was hard to take it all in. I had people calling to me from all directions.



I snapped a few pictures of some kids. I started with just 3 or 4 kids and within 2 minutes I had a crowd of almost 40 kids surrounding me. I took a few pictures of them and then we all got ready to go to the outreach.



You don't see anything like this scenario where I come from... The car was packed full of people and more people in the trunk. The frame of the car was almost touching the tires there were so many people in the car.



The outreach was a concert with dancers and flaggers and rappers...



Annah's dance team did amazing! I was so proud of them. They have been practicing two or three times a week for several months.



Over 100 people gave their life to the Lord! How cool! Thank you Jesus...

Angus Buchan and Zimbabwe Trumpet Call

Angus Buchan was so amazing... I went to see him Saturday September 25. His heart of love was just so moving. He has not forgotten his first love!! Hearing him speak, I can't even describe in words his love. It goes SO deep. He loves just like Jesus does... He spoke about love from the book of Job. He talked about how when Job lost everything, that his 3 friends came and sat down with him. And they covered themselves in ashes and tore their clothes and they didn't speak a word to him for over 7 days. They just sat there with him, mourning with him... And they just loved him. Angus made such a beautiful correlation to Zimbabwe using this scripture.

One of the jokes here goes like this: What did we use for light before candles? The answer: Electricity. The fact is that Zimbabwe was once the bread basket of Africa. It even once fed the surrounding countries all around it.



Angus said that Zimbabwe needs love in the way that Job needed love from his friends. We don't have to come in and speak lots of words, we just need to sit on the ground and love people and share in their suffering with them. He said Zimbabwe needs love! He said that anywhere you go, people want you to identify with them. He said that Jesus can change this nation forever and that He will do it! He prophesied and said: The revival from Zim is going to spill out into all the surrounding areas including South Africa.

He spoke the next morning at a small Baptist church in town and somehow I was privy to know he was going to be there so I got to hear him again...



Sunday afternoon there was a prayer meeting called The Trumpet Call. I don't know how many people showed up but there were people from all different denominations gathering together all across Zimbabwe. There were several different prayer meeting locations including Israel. They had a call to repentance and everyone got on their knees before the Lord. It was a powerful event. This year it is projected that the nation of Zimbabwe will be 1 million tons short of maize. In doing some research, it was determined that if every Christian in the nation would plant 25 meters x 25 meters of maize that there were be over a million tons in excess instead of a deficit.

The best time to plant seed is November 20 to 25.They said that if the maize actually gets planted at this time, it will be a prophetic sign of the coming revival. They stated that most maize does not get planted until the end of December which is already late into the season.

So, join with me in prayer and pray that the maize will be planted on time and that we would all take this charge seriously. It's time to plant some maize!

And then... at the end of all that, I still had to do my laundry! I spent the whole weekend at these prayer meetings following Angus all over the city... doesn't make for good management of time but it was worth it!



And for those of you who are wondering... YES, I do all my laundry by hand. I have discovered that I strongly dislike washing jeans by hand :)

25 Random Things

I wrote this 25 random things about myself in February 2009. I reread it just today.... it really made me laugh. I thought I would share ... maybe you will laugh too... If you know someone that needs a laugh, maybe they should read it too...

Maybe I'll write another one... hmmm....

1. In 2005 I moved from Connecticut to Minnesota, to South Dakota, to Montana, and settled in Iowa. (and yes that was all in one year).
2. In 2007 I moved from Iowa to Montana then back to Connecticut and then again back in Iowa (again... all in one year. )
3. I am really good at packing and driving really large trucks across the country.
4. The disclosure of this information is not an offer to help you move... lol
5. I am moving again.
6. This will be my fifth move within Iowa.
7. I have been called unstable by many people and have been told that I need to "settle down". Whatever...
8. I LOVE to travel. However, most people's view of travel doesn't include taking everything you own with you.
9. South Dakota has 3 bathroom's across the entire state... and should I mention... they're outhouses?!
10. I've seen 4 elk in Montana... hmmm, more than the number of bathroom's in South Dakota.
11. OK, So I didn't really see 4 elk in Montana, but I thought it was funny.
12. Speaking of Montana, my furthest travel was Switzerland.
13. I still have the toothpaste and toothbrush that they gave me on my flight to Switzerland.
14. Did I mention that was 10 years ago? But don't worry, I plan on replacing my toothbrush soon.
15. While I was in Switzerland, I became a professional hitchhiker.
16. I still haven't been able to convince anyone in the States, including my Mother and excluding Beth, that thats the best and cheapest way to travel.

18. Sorry I never get your Christmas cards Gramma and Grampa and you now need to replace your address book because of me.
19. Did I mention that for 3 of my moves I took my sister Beth, her husband, and 3 kids with me? I just couldn't stop packing...
20. Please don't ask me to tell you the story about moving the piano. You wouldn't believe me anyway.
21. In my travels, I've discovered that I enjoy jumping things off cliffs, myself and cars included.
22. Yes, number 21 is actually true.
23. I've contemplated living out of my car, but I haven't been able to talk anyone into letting me... YET...
24. Maybe a motor home is a more suitable option for me.
25. For those of you that think I need therapy, you are dull, boring, and lack any sense of adventure.
